Wellness Consultation
Not sure if you're ready to book an appointment? If you would like to discusss your issues and goals for therapy, we provide a wellness phone consultation.
During the consult, your therapist will ask you detailed questions about your pain and history. We will discuss your goals for therapy to get you back to enjoying your life again as quickly as possible.

Wellness phone consultations are approximately 20-30 minutes starting at $50. Payment in full is required at time of scheduling.

First Appointment

Single Sessions
Your first appointment will include an evaluation. Then, a combination of modalities listed below are used to customize your session based on your individual needs of relieving pain or achieving a goal. A therapy plan may be made for future sessions based on your individual needs.

Therapy sessions are results oriented, not time based, so time may vary per appointment. Allow 60 to 90 minutes in total. Sessions start at $250 for new clients. Payment in full is required at time of scheduling.

What Will Therapy be Like?
Medical massage, osteopathic manual therapy, and lymphatic drainage are a combination of advanced assessment, soft tissue, structural (bone & joint), neurological, and lymphatic techniques which are organized to address the particular needs of each individual client.
Each treatment is focused on a specific region or type of dysfunction and is based upon the client’s complaints and the therapist’s findings. It is seldom a full body treatment and is distinctly different from a therapeutic or relaxation massage.

A treatment plan is developed based on each client’s individual needs. Each treatment is different and changes as the client’s condition improves. Therapy sessions may contain a combination of the following modalities listed below. Each of these therapies is very specific and, when integrated, they create a powerful therapeutic impact.

The protocol for medical massage, post surgical therapy, and osteopathic manual therapy is as follows:

A complete, detailed client history

Assessment of posture, movement, soft tissues, swelling, and neurological function

Most people think that in order for something to be therapeutic, it has to be uncomfortable or even painful. This is NOT the case at AMT. Deep is a location, not a pressure. It is possible to work very deeply with gentle touch. Most therapies are extremely gentle, and always performed with the client's comfort level when more pressure is needed. Some therapies may be performed with the client fully clothed, others may require the client to be partially undressed or fully undressed (with appropriate draping).

It Takes A Lot of Training to Deliver Results
Medical massage, osteopathic, and certified lymphatic manual therapists have extensive advanced training in anatomically specific assessment, palpation, and treatment. Mastery in these modalities takes years of training and mentoring. Osteopathic manual therapy is considered advanced continuing education for doctors of osteopathic medicine, nurses, chiropractors, physical, occupational, and massage therapists.
The same is also true with certified lymphatic therapists for cancer and post surgical therapy. Certifications from schools of lymphatic education ensure that the therapist has undergone rigorous in-person training (not online), and adhere to high standards of practice. Additionally, maintaining certification means regularly attends therapy recertification classes to keep knowledge up to date and hand skills sharp. Precision with hand skills is absolutely key to delivering excellent results.
